The other day I made a post on low CTR on Facebook Ads

Here’s some highlights from a 2010 Webtrends analysis of over 11,000 Facebook campaigns:

• The older a Facebook user is, the more ads they click
• CTR begins to decline for users 65 and older
• Women click on Facebook ads more than men
• The best performing ad categories on Facebook are “tabloids and blogs” and “media and entertainment”
• The worst performing ads on Facebook are “healthcare” and “internet and software”
• Ads have higher CTRs if a user’s friend “Likes” the ad
